If you’ve ever noticed tiny red capillaries, flushed cheeks, or stubborn broken vessels that just won’t fade — you’re not alone. Our IPL Vascular Treatments are designed to gently target and reduce the appearance of those visible veins, redness, and rosacea-type symptoms, restoring a more even, balanced complexion.
How it works:
IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) uses carefully filtered bursts of light to seek out the red or blue pigments in visible blood vessels. The light converts to heat, collapsing the vessel walls beneath the surface without harming the surrounding skin. Over time, your body naturally reabsorbs these treated vessels — leaving your skin looking clearer and calmer.
What it feels like:
Most clients describe it as a warm flick — like a quick snap of a rubber band followed by gentle warmth. Treatments are quick, and we’ll always use cooling techniques and protective gels to keep you comfortable throughout.
Down time:
You can get straight back to your day! You might notice mild redness or slight puffiness for a few hours, but this usually fades fast. Some vessels may darken before disappearing, which is completely normal and part of the process.
IPL can help improve several common skin concerns including:
• Pigmentation and sun spots
• Freckles and sun damage
• Redness and rosacea
• Broken capillaries or visible vessels
• Uneven skin tone
• Dull or ageing skin
Most people notice improvement after 1–2 sessions, though a full series of 3–6 spaced a few weeks apart gives the best results.
The light energy targets melanin (pigment) in the skin. The pigment absorbs the light and breaks down into smaller particles that the body gradually clears away. This helps dark spots become darker initially, then flake away or fade over time.
IPL targets the haemoglobin in visible blood vessels. The heat causes the vessels to collapse and the body naturally reabsorbs them, helping reduce redness and visible capillaries.
No. Laser uses one specific wavelength of light, while IPL uses multiple wavelengths. This allows IPL to treat a variety of skin concerns in a single treatment.
Our IPL skin treatments are designed to target specific skin concerns and may include:
• Pigmentation correction – targeting sun spots, age spots and uneven pigment
• Vascular treatments – reducing redness, rosacea and broken capillaries
• Acne treatments – helping to calm inflammation, reduce acne-causing bacteria and support clearer skin
• Skin rejuvenation – improving overall skin tone, clarity and brightness
Your therapist will assess your skin and recommend the most suitable IPL treatment based on your current skin concerns and goals.
