If you’ve ever noticed dullness, makeup sitting unevenly, or fine “peach fuzz” catching the light — you’re not the only one. Our Dermaplaning treatments are designed to gently exfoliate the skin while removing that soft facial hair, leaving your complexion instantly smoother, brighter and beautifully fresh.
How it works:
Dermaplaning uses a sterile, medical-grade blade to lightly glide across the skin, lifting away dead skin cells and fine vellus hair in the process. This form of physical exfoliation reveals a smoother surface, improves product absorption and allows makeup to apply like silk — all without downtime or irritation.
What it feels like:
Most clients are surprised by how relaxing dermaplaning feels. There’s no discomfort — just a gentle, whisper-light sensation as the blade moves across the skin. It’s a perfect treatment if you want immediate radiance without any recovery time.
Down time:
There’s virtually none. You might notice a little pinkness right after your dermaplaning session, but it settles quickly. Your skin will feel soft, smooth and noticeably brighter the same day. SPF is essential afterwards to protect that freshly revealed skin.
No — vellus hair grows back at the same rate and texture. Dermaplaning won't change the thickness, colour or speed of hair growth.
Dermaplaning can help:
• Remove dead skin buildup
• Improve skin texture and smoothness
• Allow skincare products to absorb more effectively
• Help makeup apply more smoothly
• Instantly brighten dull skin
Every 4–6 weeks is ideal to maintain smoothness, glow and optimal product absorption.
Dermaplaning can help reduce surface congestion, but it isn’t suitable over active acne. We’ll assess your skin and recommend the right approach for you. But no, we do not usually recommend this service.
Yes — and many clients find it applies far more evenly after dermaplaning.
Dermaplaning is a professional exfoliation treatment performed by a trained therapist using a sterile surgical blade. It gently removes built-up dead skin cells and fine vellus hair (peach fuzz), leaving the skin smoother, brighter and better able to absorb skincare products.
Those small “trinkle” or facial razors are designed for basic hair removal, not professional skin exfoliation.
Professional dermaplaning is different because:
• Blade quality – we use sterile surgical blades designed for controlled exfoliation
• Technique – the treatment is performed at specific angles and pressures to safely remove dead skin cells
• Skin preparation – the skin is properly cleansed, prepped and supported during treatment
• Customisation – we adjust the treatment depending on your skin type and sensitivity
• Aftercare – we apply targeted products to calm and protect the skin afterwards
When used incorrectly, they can cause micro-cuts, irritation, uneven exfoliation or breakouts. Because they aren’t designed for controlled exfoliation, they often only remove hair rather than properly removing dead skin buildup.
